How EASA Ukraine works
National Contacts (NCs)
Each EASA member country has National Contacts (or National Representatives). Usually there are two. Every 1–2 years a handover takes place — informally, on personal initiative or at the suggestion of the previous representative. The change is announced in the general international EASA group — and that's it.
Current national contacts
- Volodymyr Petryk (since 18.08.2024 — present)
- Yeshaiahu-Paulina Marchenko (2025 — present)
Previous national contacts
- Kateryna Pylypenko (18.08.2024 to 2025)
- Yulian Okonskyi (2021 to 18.08.2024)
- Mariia Kolomiitseva (21.09.2020 to 2021)
- Katherine Kukelko (21.09.2020 to 2024)
- Yana Buchatska (2019 to 21.09.2020)
- Sonya Rokmaniko (22 April 2018 to 2019)
- Herman Mitish (22 April 2018 to 21.09.2020)
- Liza Goncharenko (2013 to 22 April 2018)
Representatives' duties (NCs)
- Inform architecture students in Ukraine about international EASA events and the terms for taking part in them — as participants, helpers, tutors, organizers, etc.
- Organize a national selection for the main EASA event — each country can usually send no more than 8 participants
- Attend the annual meeting of national representatives — INCM, where debates and a competition determine the next country to host the main EASA event, and where opportunities to host smaller events — SESAMs — are announced
- Involve national architects, artists and tutors in EASA Tutor Meetings.
EASA Ukraine NGO
Most national EASA communities around the world don't have a registered legal entity — it's primarily an informal movement. The need for one arises when a country takes on the organization of a SESAM or wins the bid to host the main EASA event — to attract grants and officially collect participant fees.
The EASA Ukraine NGO was registered in 2019 to organize the first major event — SESAM 2021 Poliklinika. It is institutional capital worth preserving and developing.
Brand use
The right to approve use of the EASA Ukraine brand and name belongs exclusively to the National Contacts. Any initiative using this name must, at minimum, be agreed with them. National Contacts have access to Instagram, Facebook and the email easaukraine@gmail.com. You can reach them at any time through the EASA Ukraine social media pages or by email.
Community
The EASA Ukraine team and community are not formalized. They are open to anyone (mostly architecture students) who wants to get involved.
